TAN SRI DATUK SERI DR. ZULKURNAIN BIN HAJI AWANG
Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr. Zulkurnain Awang, Malaysian aged 64, is the Former Chief Secretary, Ministry of Education until 2012. He was holding the post of Chairman of the Education Service Commission and retired in 2014.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Malaya, has a Master in Political Science from Ohio University, USA, Master in International Affairs, Ohio University, USA and Advanced Management Programmme the Harvard Business School.
He was the Assistant Director, Ministry of Trade and Industry; Director of INTAN, Secretary General at the Ministry of Federal Territories and Secretary General, Ministry of Education.
MAJOR GENERAL DATO’ PAHLAWAN DR. MOHANA DASS (RTD.)
Major General Dato’ Pahlawan Dr. R. Mohana Dass (Rtd.), Malaysian, 67, was appointed as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company on 8 April 2015. His qualifications include Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Madras Medical College (1974); Diploma in Industrial Health, Royal College of Physicians Surgeons of England & Society of Apothecaries (1978); Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene from Mahidol University (1982); Master in Health Planning, University of New South Wales (1990), and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Malaysia and a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He has been the Deputy Chairman of Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS) since 2013 as part of the transition team with CIMB PE and SMRT.
He has been a Medical Practitioner for over 30 years. He was commissioned to the Malaysian Armed Forces in 1975, where he last served in the rank of Major General and Director General of the Armed Forces Health Services. He was Chief Executive of Melaka Manipal Medical College from 2005 to 2006, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Mahsa University College from 2007 to 2010, and Vice Chancellor & Chief Executive of Perdana University from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, he was appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors for Cyberjaya University College of Health Sciences (CUCMS). He is a Trustee of the Malaysian Medical Association and Editor of the Berita MMA. He is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Wang Zheng Berhad.
PROFESSOR TAN SRI DATO’ DR. JEGATHESAN A/L MANIKAVASAGAM
Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Jegathesan is the Deputy President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia and was previously the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health. He was the Deputy Vice Chancellor of MAHSA University College and has been invited as an Advisor to the World Health Organisation. He has an MBBS degree from the University of Singapore.
He currently holds positions as Adjunct Professor, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UITM; Consultant Microbiologist, Gribbles Pathology Laboratory Services and Consultant Microbiologist and Head, Clinical Support, Sunway Hospital. He is also the Pro Chancellor of University Science of Malaysia and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) of MAHSA University College.
EMERITUS PROF. DATO’ DR. IBRAHIM BIN AHMAD BAJUNID
Professor Dato’ Dr. Ibrahim Ahmad Bajunid is the President of the Malaysian Association for Education (MAE) and Director of IAB Global (Inspiring Authentic Benevolence). He was the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the INTI-Laureate International Universities and Professor of Management, Education and Social Sciences. He was also the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at University Tun Abdul Razak (UNITAR) and a former Director of Institut Aminuddin Baki (IAB) – The National Institute of Educational Management and Leadership. He is the recipient of the National Educational Leadership Award, the highest Educational Leadership Award in Malaysia. He also has a PhD in Education Management from Harvard University.
PROF. DATUK DR. MEGAT BURHAINUDDIN BIN MEGAT ABDUL RAHMAN
Prof. Datuk Dr Megat has held Vice Chancellor positions at Nilai University, MAHSA University and Melaka Manipal Medical College respectively. He has an MBBS degree from the University of Malaya and has attended the Advanced Management Programme at the Harvard Business School.
He served in the Ministry of Health between 1969 to 1999, finally retiring as the Deputy Director General, Ministry of Health in 1999.
PROF. DATO’ DR. MOHAMAD BIN ABD RAZAK
Professor Dato’ Dr. Mohamad, an Orthopaedic Surgeon Specialist carries a wealth of knowledge not only in medicine but also in Management. He received seven Gold Awards in research, four Silver Awards, and a recipient for the best paper award, the Mahmood Merican Award for Orthopaedics. Additionally, he has a few intellectual properties to his credit.
He has substantial experience having served in various positions:
- Director of Hospital University Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM) for four (4) years
- Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student and Alumni Affairs), UKM
- Vice-Chancellor of Allianze University College of Medical Sciences
Professor Dato’ Dr. Mohamad started his career as a House Officer in General Hospital, Kuala Lumpur from 1979 to 1980. In 1985, he became a lecturer in Orthopaedic and Traumatology Department in UKM. Throughout his career, he was the Visiting Registrar of Orthopaedic Department Edinburgh University, Registrar and Spinal Injury Fellow of Southport Spinal Injuries Centre, Liverpool. He held the position of the President of Malaysian Orthopaedic Association from 1996 – 1998.
DATO’ TENGKU SARAFUDIN BADLISHAH BIN DATO' SERI DIRAJA TAN SRI TUNKU SALLEHUDDIN
Dato‘ Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah bin Dato‘ Seri DiRaja Tan Sri Tunku Sallehuddin, Malaysian aged 47, currently holds the position as an Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Haisan Resources Berhad from 2014 to date. He is also the Director of Seri Libana Sdn Bhd since 2012. He is a partner in Kamil Hashim Raj & Lim, Advocates & Solicitors since 2011.
In 1990 to 1991, he sat for the Bar finals at Holborn College, United Kingdom. He holds a LLB (Hons) Law from Brunel University, United Kingdom (1988 to 1990). In 1980 to 1985 he attended the Royal Military College, Kuala Lumpur.
He started his career as a Management Executive for Sime Darby Berhad from 1992 to 1994. He undertook his pupilage in 1994 with Shearn DeIamore & Co. He was the Industrial Relations Executive from 1994 to 1997 at Sime Darby Berhad. He then started as a Company Secretary and Compliance Officer for Pesaka Jardine Fleming Sdn Bhd from 1997 to 1999.
He then moved on to the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission from 1999 to 2010, starting as a Senior Executive and moving up to the Director post in the Legal and Secretarial Department.
DATO' AMIRNUDDIN BIN MAZLAN
Dato’ Amirnuddin Bin Mazlan, Malaysian aged 55, currently holds the position of President of International Council for Small Medium Enterprises & Entrepreneurship, Malaysian Chapter. He is also a member of the Board of Directors, Binary University and Senior Research Fellow at Asia e-University.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1984. He is a member of the MIA. He holds the Johan Setia Mahkota (Federal) and has been a recipient of the Asia HRD Awards 2013 for his contributions to the HR community.
He started his career as a Treasury Accountant in 1984 with the Accountant-General Department and moved on to the Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI) from 1984 to 1990. He became the Senior Treasury Accountant in the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives & Consumerism from 1990 to 1994. He was the Principal Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Defense (MINDEF) from 1994 to 1998.
DR MOHAMAD SALMI BIN SOHOD
Dr. Mohamad Salmi Mohd Sohod, Malaysian aged 54, graduated with Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing and Master of Science in Manufacturing/Industrial Management from Western Michigan University, United States of America in 1984. Beginning his career in the education sector, where his true passion lies, Dr. Salmi as he is usually referred as, was first attached to Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Dr. Salmi held various academic positions at UUM including Lecturer in Management Studies and Senior Lecturer in Human Resource & Organisation Development.
Dr. Salmi’s earnest efforts came to maturation when UNITAR was launched on 21 December 1998. His pervasive experience in the academic field led to his appointment as the Professor and simultaneously as Deputy President (Technology) of UNITAR and Chief Executive Officer of United Multimedia Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company of UNITAR that develops and manages the e-learning infrastructure and systems of the university.
While still attached to UNITAR, Dr Salmi extended his service to E-TQM College in Dubai where he served as Professor and Associate Dean on Content Development for three years.
