Programme Introduction

Foundation in Health Sciences is a comprehensive pre-university programme which aims in providing students with the knowledge as a preparation in pursuing their academic path in the field of health science.

Our programme is designed to offer an excellent and worthy pre-university education that will augment the relevant pathway towards achieving industry related careers specifically in the field of Medicine, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Allied Health Science and Healthcare Management.

This programme has attained full accreditation status by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) in 2009.

SPM or equivalent

  1. Academic Leading to Medicine and Pharmacy majors (after completing FHS) Requirement
    • Minimum five (5) Grade B’s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (or Additional Mathematics); AND

 

  1. Another subject at SPM Level/ “0” Level
    • Leading to other Bachelor Degrees (after completing FHS)
    • Minimum five (5) credits in Mathematics, two (2) Science subjects and two (2) other subjects’ O – Level.

 

  1. International students may pursue FHS at AMU with equivalent academic qualification

Career Prospect

Degree in Health Science

  • CGPA 3.00 and above for MBBS and Bachelor of Pharmacy
  • CGPA 2.50 and above for Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Bachelor in Healthcare Management, Bachelor Degree in Allied Science Courses
