55 MBBS students Get RM50K AMU’s Bursary Award

Asia Metropolitan University new batch of students to benefit the university Bursary Award

Johor Bahru, 27th September 2019 – Asia Metropolitan University (AMU) welcomed 55 MMBS scholarship students to its Johor Bahru campus on 26th September 2019. This special registration was for selected scholarship recipient and each successful student was awarded a RM50,000 scholarship for their MBBS studies. This Bursary Award aims to empower students to achieve their maximum potential in education specifically medical field.

Asia Metropolitan University has a comprehensive medical school and all the clinical rotations are within the state of Johor. Professor Dr Mohamad Khan, Vice-Chancellor at Asia Metropolitan University said, “The University has made it easy for medical students’ study with state-of-the-art facilities and experienced educators.” With years of experience, we believe and confident to produce professional medical doctors to cater to the nation’s needs.

AMU’s MBBS programme is a preferred choice by our students because it’s an accredited programme and recognised by several professional bodies. It is fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and fully recognised by the Malaysian Medical Council which means our students can secure their housemanship posting.

The Faculty of Medicine comprises of highly regarded medical educationist and professors with decades of academic and industry relevant experience. It is a good exposure for our students to learn from the best and experienced lecturers who can share their real-world work experience. At AMU, we encourage our students to be proactive and two-way communications in the classroom to give the best education experience.

With the accomplishment of its first two graduating cohort the university have maintained a 100 per cent housemanship passing rate in each of their hospital rotations. It shows that our programme is among the best and evidence for a world-class education.

This programme has been vetted and approved by the Malaysian Medical Council and provides equitable access to quality medical education for all. AMU’s Faculty of Medicine has been dedicated to ensuring the university’s curriculum meets the stringent requirements. In addition to the approved curriculum, AMU also invests its time in developing caring and competent medical professionals.
