Professor Dr. Mohamad Khan, Malaysian is currently serving as the Vice Chancellor at Asia Metropolitan University. As the principle academic and administrative representative of the University, Professor Dr. Mohamad Khan ensures the delivery of the academic and operational functions of the University, ensuring its strong alignment to its mission, vision, aims and objectives.
He is also an expert in occupational health and safety management and has had a vast experience in the field of education and academics.
Professor Dr. Mohamad Khan holds an extensive record in the OSH management which includes the designing of the curriculum for Occupational Health and Safety programmes for several public and private universities in Malaysia.He was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Safety and Health at Cyberjaya University of College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS) during its formation in 2010 before serving as Acting Vice Chancellor of Asia Metropolitan University.
Professor Dr. Mohamad Khan also serves on the panel of Institutional Auditors for the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).He has taught various courses in Occupational Safety and Health, Human Resource Management and Research Methodology at postgraduate and undergraduate levels and has supervised several PhD and Master’s candidates in Safety and Health Management programmes.
As of date, Professor Dr. Mohamad Khan has published more than 50 journal articles and presented papers and reports on occupational safety and health issues and programmes at both national and international levels. Professor Dr. Mohamad Khan attained several awards during his tenure as an academic, in recognition of his excellent service.
Dr Aishah Badruzzaman has completed her Doctorate on April 2017 in Physics from University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Her research interest is in therapeutic Physics as she has years of experience in cancer treatment by laser radiation research projects. She also got her master’s and bachelor’s degree in Science Physics from the same institution, UTM in 2012 and 2010.
Before joining Asia Metropolitan University, she was one of the team members from the Centre of Education Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The centre was part of the Iskandar Regional Development Authority and SWM Environment which engaged with schools and students to explore their understanding, awareness and action towards low carbon society. The project was awarded Outstanding Flagship Project for Climate Change by Global RCE Network. She was part of the team, conducting research on eco-life challenge workbook for 326 primary schools in the Iskandar Malaysia region and involved in Problem Based Learning-PBL 2017.
Dr Aishah Badruzzaman was very active in co-curriculum during her studies besides being excellent in her academics. Her goal is to use her extensive experiences and abilities to contribute to the university and the larger community.
Ms Massumi is the Acting Director of the Centre for Academic, Industry and International Collaboration (CAIC) where she is responsible, among others, to create new relationship for future and potential collaboration, to assist academics faculties and students in terms inbound and outbound of staff and students exchange programmes, internship programmes, employment opportunities and other related matters pertaining to assisting academics and students in AMU.
Before joining AMU, Ms Massumi served few other academic institutions in Senior Management positions such as the Head of Student Affairs, Admissions and Records (STAAR) for 7 years and was the Programme Coordinator for Foundation Studies for 4 years. She has over 13 years of academic experience. Her passion is in education and has helped students achieving their dreams.
Ms Massumi holds a Master of Science in Information Management from UiTM, Bachelor of Management (Hons.) from Multimedia University, Diploma in Banking from UiTM and she has just completed Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Methodology (PGCTM) from AMU in October 2020. Ms Massumi is also actively involved in sports and fitness activities and besides her academic career, she is serving the Community Centre in her living area as Fitness Instructor. She is also active in outdoor recreational activities including running and hiking during her free time.
Prior to her academic career, Ms Massumi was a banker and has served RHB Bank for 12 years in various departments before she decided to change her career direction from banking industry to academia. She has received many incentives and awards during her banking service and besides her academic experience, her industry experience and connections play some crucial parts in her current position leading CAIC.
Professor Kanaga Kumari Chelliah graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging from Curtin University, Australia and attained postgraduate qualifications in Education and Medical Physics.
Prof Kanaga started her career in Ministry of Health Hospital as a practicing radiographer. Her strong interest and desire to upgrade the radiography profession in Malaysia became a reality when she was offered to design and implement the Bachelor in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy (Hons) in 2000 by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. During her illustrious career in MOH and UKM, she held various academic and managerial positions. Prof Kanaga joined Asia Metropolitan University as the Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences on 1st June 2017.
Currently she is a registered Class H consultant with Ministry of Health, responsible to ensure safety standards adhered by X-ray equipment operators. She was appointed by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency as an expert in medical imaging to assess programme standards. She was also in the team to prepare guidelines for the Allied Health Sciences Act. Her contributions in research and publications has been outstanding. Prof Kanaga has been the principal investigator for Science Fund, FRGS and other grants. She has published over 50 articles including chapters in local and international books. She has been invited as a keynote and plenary speaker to various international and national level conferences. Her excellence in teaching and learning has been recognized by various awards for innovation. She has also contributed in many community projects in collaboration with non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
Prof Kanaga’s diversified experience has only helped to contribute more towards the excellence of the faculty.
Professor Dr Mohmad Yazam Sharif has a double doctorate degree from two reputable international business schools – a PhD in Management from the School of Management, University of Bradford, England and a Doctor in Business Administration (DBA) from the International Graduate School of Business, University of South Australia in Adelaide.
In addition, Professor Yazam has an MBA degree from Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, USA. He also has a Bachelor in Economics degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Education from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He also has 12 years experience as a banker with Malayan Banking Berhad (1978-1980) and Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (1981 – 1990) where he was involved in staff training and entrepreneurship training. He then joined Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM)(1990 – 2017) as a lecturer where he was involved in lecturer training and entrepreneurship training for more than 20 years. While in UUM, he used to serve as the Deputy Director of University Teaching and Learning Centre (UTLC).
Mr Demudu Naganaidu, Malaysian holds a various number of academic accolades under his wings; Master of Applied Statistics from University Putra Malaysia, Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Methodology from Asia Metropolitan University, Master of Business Administration from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow U.K., and Bachelor of Statistics(Honors) from National University of Malaysia. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Statistics from University Putra Malaysia.
Prior to holding his current position, DemuduNaganaidu was Senior Vice President of Operations after holding many roles in the organization as Vice President Branch Operations, Chief Branch Officer of Ipoh Campus and Manager of Systems and Methods. He also worked as General Manager Operations of Institute Business Executive Malaysia.
Apart from the education industry, Demudu Naganaidu has had vast experiences in the banking and industry sector, having served in the industry for a total of 11 years prior to joining the education sector.
Mdm Haliza Haron, Malaysian holds a Master in Information Technology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons), UKM.
Puan Haliza Haron has had a vast experience in the education industry. Prior to holding the position as a Registrar at Asia Metropolitan University, she served as a Deputy Registrar at Netherlands Maritime Institute of Technology (NMIT), Johor Bharu for three years and Senior Manager of the Academic Affairs Department for eleven years at Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS).
Over her years of service and experience within the education industry, Puan Haliza has been responsible in being the driving force behind the full spectrum of the administrative and Academic Affairs of the respective universities which includes overseeing policies and regulations, admission and records, class scheduling, examination, student graduation and programme accreditation.
Puan Haliza played a vital role in successfully attaining a university college status for two institutes of Higher Learning through her dedication and efforts; Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS) and Netherlands Maritime Institute of Technology (NMIT).
Y.A.Bhg. Gen (R) Dato’ Seri DiRaja Tan Sri Dr Mohd Zahidi bin Haji Zainuddin was appointed as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of AFFINBANK on 22 June 2017. He is also a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committees. Gen (R) Dato’ Seri DiRaja Tan Sri Dr Mohd Zahidi served in the Malaysian Armed Forces for 39 years, holding many key appointments at both field and Ministerial levels. He was the Chief of Defence Forces with the rank of General from 1 January 1999 until his retirement on 30 April 2005.
Gen (R) Dato’ Seri DiRaja Tan Sri Dr Mohd Zahidi graduated from the Senior Executive Programme in National and International Security at Harvard University, USA. Prior to that, he also attended the Command and General Staff College in the Philippines, Joint Services Staff College Australia and National Defence College Pakistan. He also holds a Master of Science Degree (Defence and Strategic Studies) Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan.

On 4 April 2014, he was awarded “Kurniaan Darjah Kebesaran Seri Paduka Sultan Azlan Shah Perak Yang Amat DiMulia” (S.P.S.A) which carries the title “Dato’ Seri DiRaja”.
Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr. Zulkarnain Awang served as Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Education until 2012. After which, he held the post of Chairman of the Education Service Commission and retired in 2014.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Malaya, has a Master in Political Science from Ohio University, USA, Master in International Affairs, Ohio University, USA and Advanced Management Programmme the Harvard Business School.
He was the Assistant Director, Ministry of Trade and Industry; Director of INTAN, Secretary General at the Ministry of Federal Territories and Secretary General, Ministry of Education.
Prof. Datuk Dr Megat has held Vice Chancellor positions at Nilai University, MAHSA University and Melaka Manipal Medical College respectively. He has an MBBS degree from the University of Malaya and has attended the Advanced Management Programme at the Harvard Business School.
He served in theMinistry of Health between 1969 to 1999, finally retiring asthe Deputy Director General, Ministry of Health in 1999.
Dr. Mohamad Salmi Mohd Sohod graduated with Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing and Master of Science in Manufacturing/Industrial Management from Western Michigan University, United States of America in 1984. Beginning his career in the education sector, where his true passion lies, Dr. Salmi as he is usually referred as, was first attached to Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Dr. Salmi held various academic positions at UUM including Lecturer in Management Studies and Senior Lecturer in Human Resource &Organisation Development.
Dr. Salmi’s earnest efforts came to maturation when UNITAR was launched on 21 December 1998. His pervasive experience in the academic field led to his appointment as the Professor and simultaneously as Deputy President (Technology) of UNITAR and Chief Executive Officer of United Multimedia SdnBhd, a subsidiary company of UNITAR that develops and manages the e-learning infrastructure and systems of the university.
While still attached to UNITAR, Dr Salmi extended his service to E-TQM College in Dubai where he served as Professor and Associate Dean on Content Development for three years.

Prof. Dr Amaluddin has a vast experience in the healthcare and teaching industry. Over the past years, he served various institutions that helped strengthen and compliment his expertise in the healthcare profession.
He graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and attained post graduate qualifications from Universiti Sains Malaysia (Paediatrics) and University of Warwick, United Kingdom (Child Health). He joined Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences in 2007 as an Associate Professor and Deputy Dean at APER in 2010 until 2012. Prof Amaluddin held several posts at the same time such as Head of Discipline (Paediatrics) and Head of Division (Human Development).
Prof. Amaluddin is the former Vice President for Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia (IMAM) that actively provides aid to needy Muslim communities, both nationally and internationally. He is also a member of various organisations namely, International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect, Malaysia Pediatric Association, Malaysian Medical Relief Society (MERCY), FIMASAC-Fed of IMA and My OHN (One Health) initiative by UPM-USAIDS.

Professor DR Raja Lexshimi Raja Gopal (PhD) is the Dean, Faculty of Nursing, Asia Metropolitan University. She holds a PhD in Medical Education from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Masters of Science in Nursing (Monash Uni, SA) and Bachelor of Science (Nursing) from the University of Flinders, (Adelaide, SA). A nurse by profession, she started her nursing career with the Ministry of Health and later switched into the education line in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She did her General nursing in Kubang Kerian Nursing school, Kelantan and later did her specialization in Ophthalmic Nursing and Midwifery nursing. In UKM, she was attached to the nursing department and spent 23 years working in the education field as a lecturer and an associate professor in Nursing.
She has a passion for Gerontology and Oncology nursing and has vast experience in teaching them in the Bachelor Nursing programme. Her vast experience in the field of education has made her involved in many of the curriculum reviews for Bachelor of Nursing programs and Masters program in Midwifery Nursing in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She was also critically involved in the development of the Breast Care Nurse Program curriculum for University Kebangsaan Malaysia, together with another Educationist and Breast cancer surgeon. She has more than 20 journal publications and a few books in hand, the latest being the Book of Nursing Skills. During her tenure as an Associate professor in nursing, she was an appointed member of the Medical Ethics Committee of Faculty of Medicine, UKM from Mac 2013 till Mac 2017 and Coordinator and Advisor for Research Development and Innovation, for the Department of Nursing from April 2015 to August 2017.
Most importantly, she was also appointed as one of the Resource person for Screening and Approval of Ethics Proposal for members and students of the Medical faculty UKM. Her vast experience and popularity in the field of breast cancer nursing research which is her niche have led her to present many papers as well as an invited speaker in many nursing conferences and Seminars in breast cancer research. She also won the Cancer Nursing Research Award in 2005 published by the Cancer Nursing Journal on the Research Paper titled: A Comparison Of The Information Needs Of Women Newly Diagnosed With Breast Cancer in Malaysia & the United Kingdom.
Prof Raja Lexshimi was appointed as a Dean, Faculty of Nursing in January 2018 and aspires to see nursing in Asia Metropolitan University produce professional and efficient nurses to meet the needs of the health care industry.
Prior to joining AMU, Dr Hari is employed full time at Lincoln University College and on part-time basis at several business schools; Malvern International Academic (University of Wales affiliated (UoW)), Knowledge Universe (University of the West of Scotland (UWS), Paris Institute of Management (IPE), University of South Wales and Northern Borneo University College). Hari also served as dissertation examiner for Horizon University of France, Alagappa University of India and Adjunct Lecturer at Guangdong University of Finance.
Dr Hari completed his PhD in Educational Psychology at a renowned and oldest teacher training university, Sultan Idris Education University Malaysia. His research is on Emotional Intelligence among the youth of Malaysia. Dr Hari’s journey to a doctorate is empowered by my Master in Management (University of La-Rochelle), Master in Information Technology (Open University Malaysia) and degree in Arts and Social Sciences majoring in International Strategies Studies (University of Malaya). Prof. Dr. Wan Ibrahim Wan Ahmad is Director, Centre for Research and Development, and Professor, Faculty of Health Sciences, Asia Metropolitan University (AMU). He was a Director, Institute for Psychotherapy, Correctional & Rehabilitation, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) before joining AMU. He started his career as a secondary school teacher and was a tutor at the Department of Anthropology and Sociology (UKM) before furthering his post graduate education at the PhD level in Universiti Putra Malaysia. He also obtained a Certificate of Practice in Individual & Group Intervention (UUM), undergone an advance training on the use of NVivo for qualitative data analysis in Sydney (2007), and has attended training in demographic, social & economic issues of ageing, organized by International Institute on Ageing, United Nations, Malta (INIA/UPM, 2007).
Prof. Dr. Wan has published over 150 journal articles in national and international scholarly journals, presented more than 200 papers at numerous international conferences in Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Leiden, Malta, Spain, Osaka, Albania, and Venice and various other countries,83 proceedings, and has authored and co-authored a number of books and chapters in edited books. He has been invited to contribute a chapter – “Population Aging and Old Age in Malaysia” in Ageing in Asia-Pacific, an innovative and prestigious work that offers students, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to current scholarship on ageing in Asia-Pacific (edited by Thomas R. Klassen et al. Routledge, 2018).
Prof. Dr. Wan is currently Editor, International Journal of Humanities & Applied Social Sciences, USA, and Editor for International Journal of Business, Humanities and Technology, USA. He was a Guest Editor, Advance in Natural and Applied Science, and was a reviewer, African Journal of Agricultural Research. He was appointed International Advisory Board of the Proceeding of the International Conference on Geography and Education (ICGE2016, Atlantis Press, Amsterdam). Madam Karthiga Murugan is the Director, for the Centre of Quality Assurance. Her responsibilities revolves in defining and promoting quality mindset across entire university while establishing a quality system to ensure the university facilities, equipment, personnel, methods, processes and procedures conform to both internal guidelines and regulatory standards.
Prior to Joining AMU, she has obtained several hands on skills from the manufacturing industries, including managerial exposure in quality management system, supply Chain and production planning. She has attained knowledge on outcome based education practices by attending international conference on iCGPA, obtaining professional qualification on Teaching Methodology and actively engaged in the team work of Curriculum design & review practices at university level and also train the trainer certificate from NIOSH Malaysia. She also conducted internal training for academic staffs related to outcome base education.
Mdm Karthiga gained her tertiary qualification with a Master Of Science in Occupational Safety & Management from University Utara Malaysia , Post Graduate certificate in Teaching Methodology from Asia Metropolitan University and Bachelor of Industrial Technology (Hons) from University Science Malaysia.
