PROFESSOR DR MOHAMAD KHAN JAMAL KHAN, ACTING VICE CHANCELLOR

Professor Dr. Mohamad Khan, Malaysian is currently serving as the Acting Vice Chancellor at Asia Metropolitan University. As the principle academic and administrative representative of the University, Professor Dr. Mohamad Khan ensures the delivery of the academic and operational functions of the University, ensuring its strong alignment to its mission, vision, aims and objectives.

 He is also an expert in occupational health and safety management and has had a vast experience in the field of education and academics.Professor Dr. Mohamad Khan holds an extensive record in the OSH management which includes the designing of the curriculum for Occupational Health and Safety programmes for several public and private universities in Malaysia.He was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Safety and Health at Cyberjaya University of College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS) during its formation in 2010 before serving as Acting Vice Chancellor of Asia Metropolitan University.

Professor Dr. Mohamad Khan also serves on the panel of Institutional Auditors for the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).He has taught various courses in Occupational Safety and Health, Human Resource Management and Research Methodology at postgraduate and undergraduate levels and has supervised several PhD and Master’s candidates in Safety and Health Management programmes.

As of date, Professor Dr. Mohamad Khan has published more than 50 journal articles and presented papers and reports on occupational safety and health issues and programmes at both national and international levels. Professor Dr. Mohamad Khan attained several awards during his tenure as an academic, in recognition of his excellent service.

PROFESSOR DR YONG RAFIDAH ABD. RAHMAN, DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR STUDENT EXPERIENCE & LEARNING SUPPORT

Dr Yong Rafidah, Malaysian is the Deputy Vice Chancellor Student Experience & Learning Support. She oversees student-related activities and creating an enriching student experience at Asia Metropolitan University to provide all students an all-rounded education experience. She is a qualified medical teacher, medical educationist and quality assurance practitioner, family medicine specialist and served as a Medical Doctor as a profession.

 

Prior to this appointment, she has served as Deputy Dean (Clinical / Academic) for the Faculty of Medicine and Director for Quality Management and Enhancement Centre in Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS) for many years.

 

Apart from being a qualified ISO 9001 Quality Management System Lead Auditor and Lead Internal Auditor for CUCMS, she is also an assessor of the Malaysian Medical Council and Malaysian Qualification Agency for accreditation of Malaysian medical programs. These experiences make her highly knowledgeable on quality processes and requirements of academic programs in higher education.

 

Having been in various leadership positions in academic and training programs for both CUCMS and external organizations, she also has extensive experience in academic management in higher education.

 

PROFESSOR DATO’ DR JAYLES YEOH, DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR INTERNATIONALISATION

Dato’ Dr. Jayles Yeoh (male), Malaysian has been known as a dedicated entrepreneurial-thinking educationist. Having spent more than 20 years of his career in the fields of educational market development both locally and internationally, he is known for successfully promoting the “Malaysia Education” brand across the world. He has been continuously playing a key role in contributing his views on the internationlisation of higher education through innovative approaches and new models of programme franchising to education providers worldwide.

 

For his effort, he was conferred as a Professor of Globalisation by Seokyeong University in South Korea, Professor of Marketing by Beijing Oriental University and Adjunct Professor of Global Branding Institute in USA. He is the Founder & CEO of AIMSMET Executive Education, that focuses on exporting Lifelong Training & Learning to Asia, ASEAN and the Middle East. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Association of Business Executives, United Kingdom, which carries the title FABE.

 

Dato’ Dr. Jayles Yeoh is also currently serving as the Vice-President and Chairman of the Education & Training Bureau of the ASEAN Retail Chains& Franchise Federation (ARFF). Other responsibilities that is under his jurisdiction includes serving as Co-Chairman of the International Federation of Chamber & Commerce, (IFCC), USA, Honorary Director, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Sichuan, China as well as Advisor to Malaysia Digital Chamber of Commerce (MDCC).

MR DEMUDU NAGANAIDU, BURSAR

Mr Demudu Naganaidu, Malaysian holds a various number of academic accolades under his wing; Master of Applied Statistics from University Putra Malaysia, Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Methodology from Asia Metropolitan University, Master of Business Administration from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow U.K., and Bachelor of Statistics(Honors) from National University of Malaysia. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Statistics from University Putra Malaysia.

 

Prior to holding his current position, DemuduNaganaidu was Senior Vice President of Operations after holding many roles in the organization as Vice President Branch Operations, Chief Branch Officer of Ipoh Campus and Manager of Systems and Methods. He also worked as General Manager Operations of Institute Business Executive Malaysia.

 

Apart from the education industry, DemuduNaganaidu has had vast experiences in the banking and industry sector, having served in the industry for a total of 11 years prior to joining the education sector. 

MDM HALIZA HARON, REGISTRAR

Mdm Haliza Haron, Malaysian holds a Master in Information Technology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons), UKM. 

 

Puan Haliza Haron has had a vast experience in the education industry. Prior to holding the position as a Registrar at Asia Metropolitan University, she served as a Deputy Registrar at Netherlands Maritime Institute of Technology (NMIT), Johor Bharu for three years and Senior Manager of the Academic Affairs Department for elevenyears at Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS).

 

Over her years of service and experience within the education industry, Puan Haliza has been responsible in being the driving force behind the full spectrum of the administrative and Academic Affairs of the respective universities which includes overseeing policies and regulations, admission and records, class scheduling, examination, student graduation and programme accreditation.

 

Puan Haliza played a vital role in successfully attaining a university college status for two institutes of Higher Learning through her dedication and efforts; Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS) and Netherlands Maritime Institute of Technology (NMIT).
